Riverpark restaurant ...Timeless Cool

Just checked out a fairly new to eatery in NYC, Riverpark.  The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious as we dined over looking the East River.  Most impressive was the Riverpark Farm which is located next door and supplies the restaurant with fresh produce.  A fascinating story of an alternative  use of a stalled construction site during  these difficult economic times and the many benefits it has brought to the community.  It was so exciting to see so much green in NYC,  it is beautiful.  I wish I had been there on a Tuesday, I would have signed up the the tour. A little difficult to see the gardens at night with photos, I did my best ...definitely worth a visit!

Lancaster Arts Hotel...Timeless Cool

I just returned from Lancaster PA on business and stayed at a rather cool hotel,  The Lancaster Arts Hotel.  The hotel is filled with original art of local Pennsylvania artists.  Originally an old tobacco warehouse and now a cool boutique hotel with 60+ guest rooms.  I would definitely recommend a stay if traveling through, has a cute bar and and had a great dinner at the hotel.  Here are a few photos of the lobby and some of the art work in the halls.  

I never had been to Lancaster before, it is surrounded by beautiful farms.   We were looking forward to seeing the Armish horse and buggy about town but not a one in two days... Oh well I guess I will just have to return.

Creative NYC Timeless Cool

I know that all the New Yorkers could easily take these creative bursts throughout your city for granted.  Coming from the suburbs, and we do have our strong points as well,   I find this totally energizing.
