Santa Hat Brownies...Timeless Cool Dessert

A friend shared these adorable brownies that she found on the web last week. I just had to make them this past weekend. Easy, quick and very impressive. I changed the frosting recipe a bit and used my own buttercream frosting instead, all of them work...They are so darn cute!
Merry Merry!

I found this on daisy's world which was adapted from Erica's Sweet Tooth:

Ingredients:
1 pan of your favorite brownies, cooled and cut into desired size and shape (I used a round cutter)
12-16 small strawberries, cleaned and hulled
vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients:
1 Cup of butter, room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3 cups powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons of whipping cream

Directions:
In standing mixer fitted with whisk, mix together sugar and butter. Mox on low speed until well blended and then increase speed on medium and beat for about 3 minutes. Add vanilla and cream and beat on medium for another 3 minutes to achieve spreading consistency.

To assemble, pipe a ring of vanilla buttercream on top of each brownie. Cut off the base of a strawberry so it is flat and place it upside down on each brownie, pushing slightly to secure. Top the tip of the strawberry with a dot of buttercream to finish the santa hat.
