As I watched the Royal Wedding it confirmed my thoughts as to what is timeless. In reading the many articles about the wedding, one statement about Kate's wedding dress stood out, it was said that the dress could be seen on her daughter in 30 years and still be as beautiful and timeless as on the day her mother wore it. The same goes for jewelry. The magnificent brooch worn by the Queen on the wedding day was a perfect example of a timeless piece of jewelry. Although I do not have anything as wonderful as this, it was a perfect choice for such a special day "The Lovers Knot Brooch", worn at the wedding of her grandson and will someday be passed down within the family.
The brooch is a large diamond bow in a "true lovers knot" design with scalloped edges and pendant tassels.
After looking at all these beautiful brooches at the wedding, I guarantee you will be seeing brooches making a big come back. It reminded us of how timeless they are!
