Finally the weekend has arrived...please no more snow...we have no more room. Here are some photos I took yesterday morning. I do love snow on the first day, beautiful white snow. It is a visual thing, I am a purist....dirty snow, not quite as chic! I am heading to NYC this weekend and I am sure there will be lots of dirty white snow...

Earthing....Timeless Cool

Part of the "New Year" celebration was learning about Earthing from a dear friend.... so what is it you ask?

Earthing" (a.k.a. “grounding”) is an amazingly simple, yet powerful, therapy by which we reconnect to the earth’s gentle, negatively-charged surface to restore and maintain the body’s most natural electrical balance. We can ground ourselves by simply walking barefoot, or sitting / laying down, on the earth, as well as through connective devices that deliver the natural healing energy of the earth into our bodies. “Earthing,” or “grounding,” may very well be the solution for the cause of most common modern diseases: chronic inflammation.

Makes perfect sense? Well sometimes the simplest of things make the best laid plans. I got the book and although the weather is not really permitting the feet touching the earth...I am going settle into a nice big chair and read. I do remember when I was a child, my favorite season was summer, all that running in the sand barefoot. It did feel great... and perhaps it was affecting more than just my feet!

Classic Gwyneth Paltrow attended the 2011 launches in Geneva on Monday 17th January marking “the start of a new chapter for Baume & Mercier”.

The luxury watch-making brand is launching “The Hampton Collection". Back to the classics and very timeless cool. I would love to own one...I love the look!

Interior Design best of year... Timeless Cool DY Townhouse

With the holiday season finally behind us I was able to catch up on the issues of my favorite magazines. The December issue of Interior Design "best of year" has been begging to be read for over a month and I was very excited to finally dive in. As I read through the categories, each design better than the next (definitely a must read) but most fabulous was the Fashion/Retailer winner David Yurman Townhouse, the designers new flagship store on Madison Avenue.

I was just there last week and it is as fabulous as it looks... the mix of neutral materials and angles create a Timeless Cool luxurious new home for the Yurman's famed jewelry collection.

We No Speak Americano....Timeless Cool

I just returned from 4 days at a Trade Show in Atlanta. If you have ever had the pleasure of attending a trade show as a buyer, you understand how the head feels after a few days of being on the hunt. Still experiencing a dash of delirium from my adventure thrown in with ice storm in a city with no salt, sand or shovels and seeing way too much stuff, the sharing of all cool and exiting will have to wait one more day. The return from sensory overload will surely be arriving soon. Until then enjoy this video, it made me smile.....and reminded me of how my head was feeling as I arrived home.

Timeless Cool Amangiri

I am always looking for places that make me stop in your tracks and sigh. I have been admiring this resort from a far for the last year and would love to experience a long sigh here...for about a week.

I personally find the desert very peaceful... the resort is called Amangiri, peaceful mountain. It is one of the fabulous Arman Resorts , which are all small, intimate, and all about the experience.

Timeless Cool Nespresso Store on Madison

Sunday afternoon, trying to walk off a very nice brunch... we visited the Nespresso Store on Madison Ave.....it was hopping! There was a line to be seated and lines to purchase coffee. The whole shop smelled of their wonderful coffee. It you have not experienced one of these machines, actually it is not about the machine it is the coffee, it is amazing. I am hooked!!!

If you own a machine and it is registered you can receive a complimentary shot of expresso while you shop. I love the little shot glass and the chocolate.
