New from Richard Ginori

Check out the new concept in dinnerware from Richard Ginori. Great colors and very fashion forward!
Do a whole set in lots of color ways or use the pieces to add life and whimsy to your existing white dinnerware. Great prices so it will not break the bank! I love the love rectangular plate that can be used as a placemat, very cool!

Fun!

First Day of Spring 2010

It is March 20th.....the first day of spring!
My favorite spring flower is the Pansy.

The name pansy is from the French word pensie, meaning thought or remembrance.

The colors are most vibrant, I love deciding which colors I will plant each spring.

Decisions, decisions.......

Enjoy the beautiful day! Happy Spring to All.......

Barbie....A new career could it be this easy?

While attending trade shows at Javits Convention Center in NYC I have been amused by this very large billboard. I cannot remember how long it has been there but I have seen it many times. Last visit I finally had to stop and take a photo. Intrigued especially by its placement, right across from where most enter the world of tiring trade shows, I finally stopped and snapped a photo. I guess I have too much time on my hands ,  I finally had to Google and find out what this was all about. Well...votes are tallied. The choice of computer engineer — a field in which men far outnumber women and in which women’s participation has been declining — was announced at the New York Toy Fair. GO BARBIE!

I guess the billboard will now be available.....A new career could it be that easy?

Saké .......

Over the years I have grown to love the Japanese drink saké (pronounced /ˈsɑːki). It is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from rice, unlike true wine, in which alcohol is produced by fermenting the sugar naturally present in fruit, saké  is made through a brewing process more like that of beer.

I recently had saké at a beautiful restaurant in Hong Kong that over looked the harbor. Their presentation of glasses and the serving of the saké was most impressive. As you can see a beautiful collection of hand blown colorful glasses on a tray allowed each of us to pick our favorite. As my love for Asian inspired food continues, I am now on the hunt for these charming little saké glasses to use at home.

The view of the harbor and the famous Hong Kong evening light show will not be as easy to duplicate at home .....but thanks to my camera I have some great shots of the show.

Oscars 2010

The Oscars just started.....
I love the golds, silvers and whites very Hollywood, timeless and classic. The jewelry is simple, not over done,  elegant..... lots of beautiful classic diamond earrings (long and short) Those diamonds never go out of style.   Here are some of my favorite fashions of the night ...I am also liking those bold red lips!

Wearing all her own jewelry!

Lotus Arts de Vivre....

While traveling through  Asia I saw beautiful pieces from "Lotus Arts de Vivre" from Bangkok .
I have seen their jewelry on display in Bergdorf Goodman in NYC.
Each piece unique to itself, like a piece of art.....

I had not seen their handbags before and I reallly loved them.....  Although you can not see them well in the photograph, there is also a beautiful diamond bracelet and ring resting on the pine cones.... spectacular!

This clutch is hand painted fabric with sterling corners. Again, very hard to see but there was a beatiful ring and earrings in the case.

I found this on their website Lotus Arts de Vivre.  It reminds me of some of the beautiful
Chanel bags in an earlier post.

Again, a simple rattan clutch but with a detachable turtle pin! Hmmmm gives me a few ideas....
