Favorite necklaces from Oscar's 2013.  I am loving Jennifer's long Chopard delicate diamond necklace.  Great styling... the winners wore both their diamond necklaces backwards.  I did have private chuckle about the backwards... every time I have done this I spend the night telling everyone that it was intentional as they try to fix it.  Maybe it's just not an east coast thing or once again I am a head of my time.  Check out the best jewels from Oscar's 2013

Coursera...Timeless Cool Education

I just read about this and had to share.  How exciting world class education available for everyone free of charge. Thank you Coursera for sharing.  Access to some of the best professors and schools in the country.  It might not be for everyone but I am dying to take a course.

Shades of Spring... Timeless Cool Paisley by Etro

I have been craving Paisley,  which is a bit of an  extreme for this neutral personality.   Not sure if it is something from the past resurfacing or just a timeless design that has been a little sleepy.

Here are some favorites that I have come across in my travels.  Hello Spring!

Did you know the Paisley pattern is a constant point of inspiration for Etro?  The pattern is an ancient decorative feature originally from Mesopotamia where it symbolized the shoot of the date palm which represented the tree of life. The pattern was much used on precious hand-woven Indian fabrics until it later was adopted for the use on shawls of nineteenth-century women.

Etro has a collection of one hundred and fifty cashmere design shawls dating from 1810 to 1880. The collection lead to the inspiration of the Paisley pattern, commonly used in the Etro collections from 1984 to present day.
