Coco Chanel...Timeless Cool

This photo could have been taken decades ago but it is very recent and part of the Chanel's marketing for spring 2012. Simple designs and great accesories... the key to Timeless Fashion. Coco Chanel created timeless designs that have stood the test of time and are still popular today. Taking a color that traditionally was associated with mourning, she created chic evening wear. Thank you Coco for the "The Little Black Dress", "The Little Black Jacket, and the multiple strands of pearls and to Karl for keeping us on task! A Timeless Cool Birthday Party

As many of you know I spent this last weekend celebrating my granddaughter's 1st birthday and my daughter's (I will skip this number for my sake) birthday. It brought back many memories and a reminder of how time flies.

I wanted to share the cutest thing my daughter did for the party that was such a hit. Very clever and not expensive. Your very own ball pit, all it takes is a blow up pool and about 300 balls. Yes, I did get in it before everyone arrived to try it out with my granddaughter and the monkey, what fun! Get your balls here!

Killington Vermont "The Beast"...Timeless Cool

I learned how to ski on Killington Mountain many years ago, way to many to reveal. It was a painful expierence but I did succeed (thank goodness for the good looking instructor). What I learned on this mountain gave me the basics to be an "ok" skier in the East and a not bad skier out West.

I returned to the mountain last weekend, it was just like I remembered...the mountain was very majestic sitting amongst the clouds. It had not changed, just the surroundings now filled with many condos. What did change was me, rather than wanting to ski and conquer "The Beast" I found it looking a little too "Beastly" at this age . I enjoyed admiring "The Beast" from the deck of of the hotel while babysitting for my granddaughter and watching the skiers come in one by one remembering the feeling of being on the slopes all day.

Finally some snow... It has been a mild winter in the northeast and I have missed the snow. Most would write me off as a little nutty but for me there is nothing better than snow falling outside, a great book, a roaring fire in the fireplace and a glass of wine.
