Alchemy.....A Passion for Jewels by Temple St. Clair

Working in an airy studio above the streets of New York's SoHo, Temple St. Clair draws inspiration from varied and far-flung sources. In her designs, as in her life, she blends a modern aesthetic with a deep love of art, history, and storytelling to create timeless pieces of jewelry.

Her new book Alchemy...A Passion for Jewels is part captivating memoir, part gorgeous coffee-table book. Alchemy offers an exclusive look into the art of fine jewelry making, and the eclectic sources of her aesthetic inspiration.

She will be available to sign her new book and share her collection of timeless jewels Saturday October 25, 2008 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Lux, Bond & Green 46 LaSalle Road West Hartford, CT 06107 860-521-3015 for more details.

A Voce............ a great meal

There is truly nothing better than a great meal. I wanted everything on the menu. Luckily, I was with a group who were willing to share so I could indulge. Simple, modern and Italian.... all delicious and inspiring. It made me return home and want to duplicate everything.....which of course I could not. I was however, able to do this and it was fabulous:

Sardinian Sheep's Milk Ricotta simply served with herbs, sea salt, olive oil on toasted pita! If in NYC your need to go to A Voce.

Try it you can not ruin it, add whatever fresh herbs you have on hand. It will only make you want to go there!

a simple, modern timeless teapot...............

Only a young, new, fresh designer with a true passion for tea could create a teapot as beautiful as this, the Sorapot. Joey Roth, entranced by the unfurling of tea leaves, designed the Sorapot to emphasise this process. Watching the tea leaves unfurl brings tea time to a new level of meditation through the ritual of tea.
